Thank you for notifying me about the new Lyon Mountain book. In trying to track my familiy's geneology (Ryan, LaBarge, Gonyea) I have come across much information about the history of Lyon Mountain. I love the area and I have found memories of my visits there as a child.

My name is Tony Kowalowski. I was at a hunting camp this weekend around
Lyon Mt called Rocky Brook Club. Everyone is from Lyon Mt. and one of the hunters had your book. Since I was born & brought up in L.M., I am very intereseted in your book, as were many other camp members. I'm looking forward to getting the book and seeing relatives and friends stories & pictures in it. I also was a Lyon Mt. Miner baseball player of which I am very proud. Thanks for the book!

My wife(Cheryl Thompson Johnson) was born and grew up in Lyon Mountain(LMHS 1969), and her family is still there. Major, her father, retired from the mines and has told many stories from the 50's and 60's. His father, also Major, died in the mines in 1940. We are receiving the book for Christmas and are looking forward to reading it. As an outsider, I really enjoy all the colorful history of the North country and appreciate the time and effort that went into this book.

Good job on the new book. I was born and raised in Lyon Mountain. I have a very strong interest of my town because of the stroies that my Granny, Grandparents, and Great Grandparents told me, and knowing this is where they were born, grew up, and made a living. They did a very good job on educating me of their past in this town. This is what has made me want to learn more. This book has done a very good job on filling in the cracks that they may have not experienced.

Hi... You emailed my sister that lives in Indiana and she then emailed me. We grew up in Dannemora, had some friends that lived in Lyon Mountain and now I live in Peru, NY. I would love to have a copy of both, Flat Rock in Altona and your new one on Lyon Mountain. I look forward to hearing from you when the book goes on sale. smile
