My 3rd-great-grandparents were residents of Whitehall (Thomas Bigelow 1769-1843). I would be interested in any direction you can give as to finding more about their life in Whitehall. Especially any part they had in the Revolutionary War.

My mother and her family were born in Whitehall. Making a memory book for Uncle W. Terry who will be 90 this year. I would like a picture of the schools in the 1920-30 years.

Steve and I took a detour here and fell in love with the place! Forget Virginia! Lyon Mountain is for lovers! I won't tell you what happened over by the wall; although Steve certainly got a kick out of it. I guess we'll save that story for another time!

Your website is great and a valued public service. As the new pastor at Lyon Mountain Memorial Methodist Church, I would appreciate leads to any information on the history of Lyon Mountain and our historic church. Thank you! Ted

I REALLY enjoyed your Hal Smith serialized biography! I am writing my second biography at the moment, about boxing champ and legend Tommy Ryan, born 1870 in Redwood, NY. He, like Hal, moved to the Van Nuys, CA area in later years, where he became a successful real estate speculator and businessman.

A good friend of mine, Pastor Pamela Bolton, invited me to your town for the first time on the 30th of March 2018 to speak at her Church. I truly enjoyed my visit to Whitehall town. I was particularly blessed to learn that your town is the birthplace of the US Navy, and that in 1776, way back then, that the first navy fleet were built from your town. I was much impressed and touched by the wealthy of history your town has. I hope to plan a trip in the future to visit the different offices in your to learn more about the history of you town and what you've done over the years to develop. Thank you for all your endeavours in educating the young generation and transforming your communities. I would love to learn more. Thank you.

David Waako.
