Ordering Info

The information below should assist you in locating and purchasing items from our store. You may read the entire page from top to bottom, or click one of the links below to jump to a desired section.

Selecting Items and Adding to Cart

There are several ways to locate items in our store. You may browse through the various product categories, search by manufacturer or author/artist, browse Featured Products and Bestsellers, and/or do a general product search. To search, use the product search box in the top left of each store page or click on Advanced Search to add more search options (e.g., search by Item #, ISBN #). If you have trouble locating an item you believe should be available, or find an item is out of stock, please notify us at service@bloatedtoe.com or use our Contact Us Form, and we will do our best to make the item available for you as soon as possible.

When you have located the items you would like to purchase, click Buy Now (if viewing a list of products) or Add to Cart (if viewing a single product page). Most items may be added directly to your cart using the Buy Now button. However, certain items may have options/variations (e.g., DVD vs. VHS). If this is the case, the Buy Now button will lead you to the product’s page so you may choose the option you prefer. Once the correct product option(s) is/are selected, click Add to Cart.

You may also purchase Gift Certificates. The link to the Gift Certificate page is in the "Special" menu along the right side of all store pages. Simply enter the required information on the Gift Certificate page and choose email or postal delivery. When finished, click Add to Cart.

If you are a registered user, you may create a Wish List of items. The link to the Wish List page is in the "Your Cart" menu on the right side of all store pages. Once you create a Wish List, you may add items to your cart right from your list. You may also email your list to others so they may purchase items for you.

Regardless of how you add items to your cart, please make sure to review your cart contents before entering Checkout to be certain you have the correct items and quantities you desire. Please pay special attention to whether products contain options (e.g., DVD vs. VHS for a video) and make sure such items have the options you prefer. If a product has options, they will be surrounded by a red box. Quantities and options may be modified directly from your shopping cart (keep in mind that changing options may change the price and/or shipping weight of an item). You may also delete items using the link provided for each item, or clear the entire cart by clicking the Clear Cart link at the bottom of your cart contents list.

Discounts, Special Offers, and Coupons

From time to time we may offer discounts, special offers, and/or coupons. A discount will take a dollar amount or a percentage off your order if the order subtotal is greater than or equal to the subtotal required to receive the discount. If such a discount is in effect at the time you place your order, it will be applied automatically if your subtotal is large enough and the discount will appear in your cart.

Special offers may give free shipping, a percentage or dollar amount off your order, bonus points, free or discounted items, and more. Offers may apply to everyone or to certain customers (e.g., Preferred Customers, customers in certain geographical areas). Most store pages will list up to three current offers near the top of the page, and a link will appear to view a full list of all current offers in our store.

Coupons are different from discounts and special offers. A coupon may offer free shipping, or a percentage or dollar amount off your order. The requirements to receive these offers may be a minimum subtotal, or that you order a certain product or products. In addition, a coupon will have a special code that must be entered BEFORE entering the checkout process. If you have such a coupon code and your order meets the coupon requirements, scroll down to the bottom of the shopping cart page to find the "Redeem a Coupon" box. Enter the coupon code and click "Submit." If the code is accepted, the discount will be reflected in your shopping cart and/or during the checkout process. If there is a problem, an error message will appear at the top of the page. The reason for this could be that your cart contents do not meet the coupon requirements, the coupon is expired, you entered the code incorrectly, etc. please contact us at service@bloatedtoe.com or use our Contact Us Form if you have trouble redeeming a coupon.

Calculating Shipping

Once you have all the desired items in your shopping cart and have verified that all product options and quantities are correct, you may calculate the shipping charges for your order. To do so, scroll down the shopping cart page until you see the "Calculate Shipping" link (this link will not appear if you have entered a coupon code for free shipping, or if the items in your cart do not require shipping).

If you are not registered/logged in, you will be asked to provide the country and zip/postal code where you would like to ship your items. Once these are entered, click the "Calculate Shipping" link (if you are logged in, you will only have to click this link). A list of available shipping methods and the cost of each will be returned. You may select your shipping method at this time or during the checkout process.

NOTE: The order subtotal does not include the calculated shipping charges.

Checking Out

When you are ready to place your order, you may click one of the two "Checkout" buttons (one near the top of the shopping cart page and one near the bottom). Once you enter the checkout process, a progress indicator will appear along the top of the page. This will show you which checkout step you are currently at and also allow you to click on any previous step if you need to go back and change something.

When you click the checkout button, you will next be asked to either log in (for registered customers) or to click the new customer link. Registered customers may enter their username and password and click "Submit." New customers will be asked to enter their billing and shipping information into the Profile Details form. In this case, you must fill in any fields marked with a red asterisk. If your billing and shipping addresses are different, check the "Ship to a different address" box and enter the required shipping address information. Entering any other requested information (fields not marked with an asterisk) is optional. If you would like to register with our store (also optional), enter a username and password. When finished entering information, enter the code displayed in the image at the bottom of the Profile Details form and click the Submit button. If there are any errors detected in the form (e.g., an empty required field), an error message will appear at the top of the page and the fields requiring an entry/correction will be marked.

If there are no errors, you will proceed to the Shipping and Payment selection page. Select the desired shipping and payment methods and click the Continue button. You will advance to the final checkout page. The items in your order; the order subtotal, shipping method, shipping charges, and tax; the billing and shipping addresses; and the payment method will all be displayed. If the payment method chosen requires additional information (e.g., credit card number), enter all required information. If you have any special instructions regarding your order, please enter them in the Customer Notes box at the bottom of the page. Make sure all information displayed is correct and hit the Submit Order button.

NOTE: It is important to only hit this button once to prevent duplicate order submissions (and duplicate credit card charges). In addition, once you have clicked this button, do not hit your browser's back button or refresh your browser, and do not close your browser until you are brought to the Order Confirmation/Invoice page.

Order Confirmation

Once your payment is processed, you will be automatically re-directed to the Order Confirmation/Invoice page (if you are not re-directed automatically, a link will appear for you to proceed). This page will display your invoice, which will contain all of your order information. Please review this invoice carefully and let us know right away if there is a problem. Once we ship your order, there will be no way to make any changes or cancellations, and you will be bound by our Return Policy. You will also receive an email confirmation of your order at the email address you provided during registration and/or checkout (if you are using an anti-spam program, please make sure to add orders@bloatedtoe.com to your whitelist and/or address book to ensure you receive this confirmation).

Your order status will depend on your chosen payment method. If you have paid with a credit card, your PayPal account, and/or a Gift Certificate, the status will be "Processed." If you chose check or money order, the order status will be "Queued" (this will be changed to "Processed" when your check/money order clears). Later, when your order is shipped, the status will be changed to "Complete." You will receive an email confirmation each time your order status changes.

If for some reason your order is declined, there will be a message stating so and you will not see an invoice displayed. There may be additional information and/or an error code. If your order is declined and you are unsure why, please contact us and we will look into it.
