Beverly Reedy developed her considerable cooking skills while raising a large family and working at a variety of upscale restaurants. After living in nearly 30 different locations over the years, she settled in the Saratoga Springs area and began selling baked goods to many local restaurants. She then started her own business, Beverly's Specialty Foods, and operated a very popular restaurant for a decade, becoming a gourmet food icon.
