Shel Damsky is a former resident of Saranac Lake, now living with his author/wife Dorice Nelson in Cambridge, NY, east of Saratoga Springs. Shel is a graduate of Colgate University and Cornell Law School. He practiced law for fifty years, and also taught at SUNY Albany and Pace University in White Plains. He has long felt a passion for writing, and used Saranac Lake's rich history as the backdrop for the first two of his three historical novels.
