John Briant was born in Theresa, NY, about 20 miles north of Watertown. He joined the state police in 1953, was Station Commander from 1960-1963, and spent 14 years with the BCI unit. He is a published poet and writer of short stories, and is the creator of the Adirondack Detective series of books. John is also a member of the Adirondack Center for Writing based at Paul Smith's College, and has been published in 13 successive anthologies as a member of a writer's workshop group. (Read More) |
